Should Artists Comment on Tragedies? #PrayForOrlando

The LGBT community has not been too happy with Nicki Minaj as of late.

Apparently the typically colorful and animated emcee from New York had very little to say about the tragic shooting that targeted the LGBT community in Orlando—-and by little we meant she said nothing at all. The Barbz were not having it:

Allegedly the “Moments For Life” rapper, responded with the below tweet, pissing fans off even more:


Beyoncé and other artists (with particularly large gay fan bases) didn’t hesitate to comment on the tragic event:

I saw the fear and sadness in the faces of so many, but I felt comfort knowing there are millions all over the world who are not only part of the LGBT community, but are part of the straight community and so impassioned by this tragedy. You are not alone.
