We can all stop
impatiently waiting for the final album from TLC. The “Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg” group has a summer release date of June 30th.
After asking fans to help fund the project via Kickstarter, the once-trio has a new ask for fans: Naming the new album.
The group’s manager, Bill Diggins left an update on their Kickstarter page, alerting fans of the good news:
Hey Kickstarter Family,
The album date is firm, June 30th is the release of the new TLC album that you made happen! Tionne and Chilli have been working night and day to hit this date. The video and a photo shoot on April 18th, 19th, 20th. I hope that you all read the article in The Guardian last week on why TLC’s comeback is so important, it is a great read on the group that you love and you should be proud that you made this album happen. The Waterfall’s version from the voice was magical and received 40 million views in a week!! Ed Sheeran gave some of his publishing to the writers of No Scrubs and TLC sold out in London in one minute…it was a blessed month for us and we finally feel a little wind at our back.
Thank you for being there for TLC
Here are three things we’re looking forward to from the new album:
1. According to the TLC Kickstarter page, the group will reconnect with producers and writers that helped their career become successful, i.e Kandi Burruss, who wrote one of their most notable records “No Scrubs.”
2. The group plans to remix one of their classic records, which will be determined by fan votes.
3. We’re curious to hear what their music post-Left Eye will sound like. Will we hear any unreleased Left Eye verses?
TELL US: How excited/sad are you for the final album of TLC?
