Faizon Love has always been a little controversial — okay A LOT controversial. The 49-year-old held no punches at The Breakfast Club this week. He touched on everything from the #MeToo movement, Russell Simmons‘ accusations of sexual misconduct and his fellow comedians, including Dave Chappelle, Kevin Hart, Michael Blackson and of course Mo’Nique‘s Netflix boycott.
First up, Mo’Nique: “She should put her money where her mouth is. She doesn’t need Netflix. Realistically you can’t be lazy…there’s no such thing as a star. She’s living in the star world. No one gives a f-ck about that Oscar. Get your bag.”
Then there was the Chappelle comment that had social media reeling: “White people built Dave. He’s never made black people laugh. He’s a nice guy but he’s not real. He’s a kept n-gga. I like Dave as a person, but come on, that sh-t ain’t funny.”
So what about the iconic Chappelle show? Faizon reveals that Charlie Murphy was the man behind those iconic jokes, not Dave.
