It didn’t take long for Tiffany Haddish to reveal her thoughts about Mo’Nique‘s protest against Netflix. The 38-year-old signed a deal with the streaming platform in February and although she said then it’s not “legends money” it will be enough to take care of her family.

And while the Oscar winner previously congratulated Haddish on her new gig, the Girls Trip star is finally speaking out against Mo’s call to boycott. In the same interview with GQ where she claims an actress bit Beyoncé, Tiffany opens up about why she would never bite the Netflix hand that feeds her.

“My business run different than her business. I don’t live her life. I don’t have that husband of hers. I’m looking at how [Netflix has] opened up so many opportunities for black females and comedy. When my people are dying, that’s when you gonna catch me protesting. I’m not gonna protest because somebody got offered not the amount of money they wanted to get offered. If you don’t like what they’re offering you, just no longer do business with them. If I protest Netflix—what about all the black shows that are on there? What about all the other actors that are working on there? All the Indians, the Hispanics, the Asians. My show, The Carmichael Show, airs on there right now. It ain’t on NBC.”

Mo’Nique ironically had the same thoughts as to why her ask was important. She told Sway In The Morning in January, “If I accepted $500k, what does Tiffany Haddish have coming. If I accept that, what does the black female comedian have coming? Because what they will say is, ‘Mo’Nique accepted this and she’s got that.’ So what do they have coming?”

I’ve said it before, well behaved women seldom make history. Fight on Mo’Nique. Missed Tiffany on TV One’s UNCENSORED? Watch here and see how she landed her Girls Trip audition below.
