Looks like Jay-Z’s winning streak continues with an announcement of a new Netflix project. Hip-hop’s first billionaire is producing a film titled “The Harder They Fall” starring Jonathan Majors.

You may recognize Majors from movies “White Boy Rick” and “The Last Black Man In San Francisco.”

“The Harder They Fall” will follow a young man as he seeks to find revenge for his murdered parents.

In terms of director, this job has been given to Jeymes “Bullitts” Samuel. Mr.Carter worked with this UK based musician-turned-producer-turned-filmmaker on the soundtrack for “The Great Gatsby.” This will be Samuel’s directorial debut.

How great is it to have black men as the producer, director, and lead actor!? Netflix has really been working for the culture lately with a reported  $70 million deal with Eddie Murphy and a 10-year movie deal with Denzel Washington.

There has been no news on when fans can expect a release, but we are keeping our eyes open for a date.
