Do You Hate Your Friend’s Friends?

In tonight’s episode of Born Again Virgin, a friend comes to Atlanta to visit Tara. After an awkward introduction, Jenna fears that she may not necessarily “gel” with Tara’s friend.

Have you ever been in a similar situation?

A friend introduces you to another friend, and you’re thinking: “I have such a great bond with ‘Current friend’, I’m sure that ‘New Friend’ and I will get along just fine”. And then it happens: You meet ‘New Friend’ and you can’t stand them, like, they really get on your nerves. Now you’re hanging out with ‘Current Friend’ and ‘New Friend’ all weekend, miserable, unless you come up with an excuse to get yourself out of there (playing sick usually does the trick).

The truth is, people bond differently, and the connections that you share between your friends may be very different from the connections they share with theirs. On the contrary, meeting new friends via current friends can expand your network and can result in great contacts that may come in handy later.

So what do you do when a friend introduces you to a friend and your personalities clash? Play nice? Or resort to having the common cold? Let us know at @tvonetv!
