Erika Alexander

Maxine “Max” Shaw

Arizona’s own might be most remembered for her role as the sharp-tongued attorney on Living Single but Erika has done much, much more.

Erika got her big break as Pamela “Pam” Tucker alongside Bill Cosby on the critically-acclaimed sitcom, The Cosby Show.  She later starred with Whoopi Goldberg in the 1990 civil rights epic, The Long Walk Home.  She also played a young Mama Flora in Mama Flora’s Family and her voice is featured on the Bible Experience. She was most recently seen in Denzel Washington’s hit thriller Deja Vu.

Never forgetting her roots, Erika, who has stated that she was the breadwinner for her siblings, took an active interest in social and political issues.  She campaigned for Hillary Clinton during the 2008 U.S. Democratic Party Primary, toured college campuses with Chelsea Clinton and is a U.S. Delegate.
