We loved the hit indie film, “Dear White People” when it came out in 2014, but we had no idea that Netflix had plans to turn it into a series, and we’re hella excited! The trailer dropped yesterday, and now some people are pulling the plug on their Netflix subscriptions in protest of the series because of its no-bullsh*t approach to a variety of issues, including race relations.
Outraged former subscribers have already hit the Twittersphere with their cancellation notices and complaints.
Netflix announced a new anti-white show (Dear White People) that promotes white genocide.
I cancelled my account, do the same. #NoNetflix pic.twitter.com/2HIGqviLHj

White genocide?! Is there such a thing? We think that’s just TEAM: TOO MUCH, and apparently so does @Chloe_Hillard.

Hmm, maybe the people who are boycotting Netflix and the show are the ones who should really be watching it. Boycott or not… We’ll start binge watching the series when it airs on April 28.
TELL US: What do you think about the Netflix boycott and the new “Dear White People” series? Will you watch?
