University of Houston (UH)

The University of Houston is a public research institution founded in 1927. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. UH offers more than 120 degree programs through its 13 colleges. Communication, Journalism, Social Sciences, Business and Management are among the most popular majors offered at the university. Students are instructed by faculty members that have real-world experience in their field. With over 500 student groups and organizations, UH students have plenty of ways to get involved in their campus community.
