BELLE’S is an upscale Atlanta soul-food restaurant owned and operated by the widowed, patriarch Big Bill Cooper.  Belle, Bill’s wife, passed two years ago, leaving him with his hands full: A restaurant to run and two daughters to raise, Jil Cooper, a single mother newly divorced and Loreta Cooper, the sassy one who is trying to find herself and a man.

Add to that a precocious 12-year-old grand-daughter Pam,  a fiesty sister in-law Gladys Crawford and a womanizing cousin bartender named Maurice and you have BELLE’S family soul food restaurant.
