The racist trend of blackface continues to sweep the internet although Black Twitter continues to call the perpetrators out with no remorse.
This time, white beauty blogger Vika Shapel decided to invent the ‘chocolate challenge’ and debuted her new look on her now deactivated Instagram page.
this “challenge” doesn’t exist because people have common sense🙃😑😑😑 the disrespect… pic.twitter.com/j1SEXPdWhr

Black Twitter definitely had a lot to say.
Welps, they’ll never be like us no matter how much they try 🌚🤷🏾♀️

Shapel spoke with Yahoo Beauty after receiving negative attention and deactivating her social media accounts.
“I simply wanted to see how I looked in a deeper skin tone. I wasn’t aware of the whole black-face concept before people began commenting on the photo. I would like to apologize to people that were hurt or offended by my post, and it won’t happen again.”
Just say that you wanted to do blackface and leave sis. No need to make up your own challenge.
