Natalie Cole’s Son, Robert Yancy Found Dead

Robert Yancy, the only son of famed singer Natalie Cole was found dead. He was 39.

According to TMZ, Yancy was found by a friend in his San Fernando Valley, California, apartment and apparently died of natural causes.

Just two years ago Cole died of  Congestive Heart Failure. She was 65.

Yancy made headlines in 2016 after he slammed the Grammys for their lackluster tribute to his late mother.

“Here is a woman who has been in the business for four decades, had 21 Grammy nominations and won nine Grammys. She deserves more than [to be a part of] a minute-and-a-half tribute.”

Yancy wasn’t the only one outraged about the tribute, Toni Braxton, Holly Robinson Peete and Lee Daniels also weighed in.

It’s been a year and we STILL feel a certain way about it.

Prayers go out to the Cole and Yancy family.
