As Brandy has mentioned several times, “At one point, I gave up on love.” She’s engaged now to music exec Ryan Press and in an interview with PopStop TV News, she said of her relationship “to have this feeling and for it to feel like the first time with the person that I feel like God has created for me to be with is just magical. I wanted it to stay like this.”

On how the proposal happened:

“It was a surprise but I felt something was gonna happen. Your imagination does the actual moment no justice. I said ‘Oh my God’ so many times I forgot to say ‘Yes’!”

On the advice she’s received on how to handle her first and hopefully only marriage:

“Communication is they key, clearly, so we’re gonna see what this thing does!”

Brandy was also asked about the KimYe baby on the way:

“I was looking at pictures of them online and they just look so happy. I’m really happy for her.”

Advice for new mommy Kim:

“I think the key to being a good parent is to remember you were once a child. I think when you have that perspective, everything flows.”
