In the wake of the Las Vegas massacre over the weekend, Mathew Knowles wants the music industry to step up to provide better security at live events. He took to Instagram Tuesday morning to express his concern.

While we understand his worries as a father, blaming the music industry and not the government for its less than strict gun laws in this country seems a bit strange.

As reported yesterday, Stephen Craig Paddock opened fire from the 32nd-floor window of his hotel room on more than 20,000 people at a country music festival, killing 59 and wounding 500 people.

According to the Business Insider, Paddock had 23 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition that he had acquired legally.
