In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein aftermath (the Hollywood studio executive has been accused of rape and sexual harassment from a slew of women, including Angelina Jolie and Gwenyth Paltrow), actor Terry Crewsbroke his silence on being sexually harassed by a male Hollywood bigwig just last year.
The 49-year-old actor took to Twitter Tuesday afternoon to reveal the details.
This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD. Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME. (1/Cont.)
Wow. While Crews didn’t identify his accuser, a sexual harassment claim from a man is more normal than one would think. Studies show, in 2015, 6,822 sexual harassment claims were filed with the EEOC. 17.1 percent of those cases were filed by men.
Kudos to Crews for being courageous and brave enough to tell his story, especially as a heterosexual, African-American man.
TELL US: Do you think he did the right thing by keeping the identity of his accuser silent?
