In a joint statement to Us Weekly, Usher and wife Grace Miguel have “mutually decided to separate as a couple.”

The couple, who wed in September 2015 said, “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.”

Last year Miguel stood by the 39-year-old’s side after allegations of the singer spreading Herpes to several women surfaced (remember when Angie Stone all but confirmed the rumors to be true?)

Miguel and Usher eloped in Cuba in 2015, after reportedly dating since 2009. They have no children together, but the Grammy award winning singer shares two kids, 10-year-old son Usher Raymond V and 9-year-old son Naviyd Ely. with ex-wife Tameka Foster.
