JAY-Z said it in reference to he and Beyoncé‘s net worth as a couple, but the same can now be said for Ryan Coogler‘s Black Panther.
According to Forbes the Marvel film has now surpassed $1 billion worldwide, thanks to a massive $22.3 million opening day in China. Domestically the film has made $520 million in four weeks.

Inspired by its cultural relevance and its implementation of technology, Disney donated $1M to the Boys & Girls Club of America to be used to further develop the STEM curriculum in the organization, and to create new STEM Centers of Innovation in 12 communities across the country. The film also impacted actress Sandra Bullock, who adopted two African-American kids, in such a way that we haven’t seen before.

Black Panther is only the 31-year-old director’s third film (Fruitvale Station, Creed). And if that doesn’t leave you awe inspired, last month the Oakland native said the movie made him want daughters more than ever with wife Zinzi Evans. And we couldn’t love the reason more.
