Court documents, allegedly obtained by PEOPLE, outlined that the actor and real estate broker were given joint legal custody of their children last year. The two have since reached an agreement that includes alternating custody of their 4-year-old daughter, Sadie, and 2-year-old son, Maceo, during holidays. They also agreed upon custodial schedules for when the Grey’s Anatomy actor is not working on the show, and for when the series is taping.
As for Williams and Drake-Lee’s communication, it is reportedly limited to a website for co-parenting that eliminates the need for text messaging and calling, called OurFamilyWizard.
The father of two became a prominent voice in the #BlackLivesMatter movement after the tragic police killing of Alton Sterling. Following Williams’ infamous BET Awards speech in 2016, he was widely admired on social media. However, after the divorce and his rumored romance with actress, Minka Kelly, the buzz about the activist seemed to die down.
