Viola Davis is not the one to mess with! The How To Get Away With Murder star and her husband, Julius Tennon, were sleeping in their Los Angeles home when they were awakened by the sound of their glass door shattering, TMZ reports.

The pair bravely switched on their lights, and sent the would-be burglars running away! The three suspects, who were seen wearing hoodies and gloves in a surveillance video reportedly used a ladder to climb up to the balcony outside of the couple’s bedroom. They fled before police arrived, and thankfully nothing was stolen and no one got hurt.

The duo is not the first to be victimized by attempted burglary. Recently Mariah Carey, Jason Derulo and other A-list celebrities have been targets for break-ins.

The two-time-Tony-award-winner recently executive produced the Two Sides docuseries which aired in January. The actress spoke about why the series that highlights cases of officer-involved deaths in the black community is so important right now. With the recent news that there will be no charges for the police officer who killed Alton Sterling, her message is extremely important. Check out the video below!
