Last year Terry Crews made headlines everywhere after Harvey Weinstein was ousted, revealing he too was a victim of sexual assault by a Hollywood executive, we now know as Adam Venit the former head of William Morris Endeavor’s Motion Picture Group.
This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD. Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME. (1/Cont.)
Since publicly revealing Venit, he has retired after being temporarily suspended and stripped of his duties at the talent agency. He also publicly apologized to the 49-year-old actor, who annoyingly had to take a mental health exam after moving forward with a lawsuit against the agency. Now he’s taking on D.L. Hughley on Twitter. Over the weekend he asked the comedian what he was implying after a recent interview surfaced. In it, the Kings of Comedy alum says, “It’s hard for me to think that a dude with all those muscles can’t tell an agent to not touch his ass. Now everyone is into this #MeToo…hey motherfu**er God gave you muscles so you can say no.”
What happened next was not only entertaining but fascinating.
Yikes! Crews did say Black women were his number one supporters since joining the #MeToo movement. While we hope Hughley’s comments weren’t alluding to the worse, we’re going to leave this one up to you to decide.
