Last year Jermaine Jackson told a Dutch newspaper he was planning to marry his 23-year-old girlfriend, Maday Velazquez (yes, that’s a 41 year age difference) and now he can…legally.

According to The Blast, “a hearing was held today in Jackson’s divorce case with his now ex-wife, Halima Rashid. The two sides were granted a termination of marital status, meaning they are now both legally single.”

Reports say, “Rashid confirmed to the court that she had received nearly half a million dollars in payments from Jackson, partly from the proceeds from the sale of some of their community property. She also waived her right to receive spousal support in return for shares in a water company the couple previously owned together. Jackson had previously been paying $2,500 in temporary support.”

Despite this being Jackson’s third divorce, it’s safe to say we know what’s going to be first on his agenda now that he’s a “free” man.
