Over the summer Nicole Murphy found herself in the middle of a tabloid scandal when photos surfaced of her kissing a very married Antoine Fuqua in Italy. The Hollywood producer and director has been married to Lela Rochon since 1999.

Murphy released a statement soon after the incident, but not before LisaRaye alleged the former Mrs. Eddie Murphy slept with her ex-husband, a rumor Da Brat also confirmed. The 51-year-old spoke to Wendy Monday addressing the infamous photos, even offering Lela an apology.

“It was a moment where I should’ve thought through the situation. It was a moment that shouldn’t have happened.  I regret it and I apologize for it. I am a human being. It was a mistake. Basically, women, it could happen to you. Do your research ladies.” Watch the entire interview below.

Despite the very obvious situation, Lela was spotted wearing her ring in August at OWN’s David Makes A Man premiere in Los Angeles.
