It’s been almost three years since the first set of accusations of sexual assault against Russell Simmons surfaced. During that time the 62-year-old launched his infamous #NotMe campaign maintaining his innocence, his ex-wife Kimora Lee Simmons spoke out against the charges and Oprah, who’s oddly enough been at the center of the investigation due to her involvement in a documentary that she once was linked to, removed him for her 2018 book, The Wisdom of Sundays.

And although one of the 10 alleged cases were dropped, Simmons continued to face an uphill battle from his accusers, including The Real co-host Amanda Seales, publicist Kelly Cutrone and author Sil Lai Abrams (who also alleges former EXTRA host, A.J. Calloway sexually assaualted her).

And if it looked like the accusations were going to disappear, HBO Max has released the trailer for On The Record, a film documenting the stories of Simmons’ accusers, including Abrams and former Director of A&R at Def Jam, Drew Dixon. Watch below.

The documentary, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, will hit HBO Max, May 27th.

TELL US: Do you question accusers when they appear on camera or should everyone have a right to tell their story?
