Dr. Charles Drew

Dr. Charles Drew – Trailblazing Doctor
Dr. Drew is credited with perfecting the first blood transfusion and out of his work came the American Red Cross Blood Bank. This great accomplishment was awarded with a U.S. Postal stamp in 1981.  He joined Omega Psi Phi in 1923 at Howard University and became the first African American to earn a Doctor of Science degree from Columbia University.
